Certainly not for the everyday cook. Few people use as much duck, rabbit or lamb as is presented within. Half the recipes promote and are designed for the use of a tagine, Cookbooks like this usually elaborate upon some of the odd ingredients, this one doesn't. Be SURE to read recipe before plunging ahead - many of them will require a trip to the grocery store for items/spices not normally stocked. On the plus side, it's a beautiful book with really nice photos and a sturdy binding. if you are experimenting with a tanginess, this cookbook will give some ideas.
A must for french oven owners. Delicious recipies.
I’m very disappointed in this cookbook. Many of the recipes are inconsistent in their directions and only a few seem interesting. Le Crueset had the chance to really let their cookware shine in this cookbook, instead it reads badly, seems unedited & was a real disappointment.
The recipes are great but the book came damaged and I didn’t have the time to return it. I also thought all of the meals were going to be specifically for the Dutch oven but the recipes are all for different Le Creuset pans. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially the way it’s priced.
